Global MBA questions, answered
Short answers to what applicants ask most. Detailed guides are linked above.
What is a global MBA?
"Global MBA" is a generic label, not a regulated degree title. Providers use it for multi-campus full-time programmes, online MBAs open to students worldwide, and MBAs with an international-business focus. Compare the format, length and awarding body rather than the name.
Is a global MBA different from a regular MBA?
The award is usually the same (an MBA). The difference is delivery: a global MBA typically adds study in more than one country, an international cohort or worldwide online access. Check what is actually included — campuses, trips, visas — and what costs extra.
How much does a global MBA cost?
It varies widely by format and country. The two programmes in our table publish full fees of US$44,720 (12-month, two-city, compulsory fees) and £13,697–£20,770 (online, by country band). Add living costs and income forgone, and use the cost calculator with figures from each provider's own fee page.
Can I do a global MBA without the GMAT?
Some programmes waive the GMAT or GRE for applicants with strong academics or substantial work experience; others require a test. Requirements change each intake, so confirm on each school's admissions page.
Is a one-year MBA worth it?
It can be if you are staying in your industry and value a shorter break from earning. Career switchers often benefit from a two-year programme with an internship. Our ROI calculator shows a simple payback period from your own numbers.
Is GlobalMBA.com affiliated with any school?
No. We are independent, do not use school logos, do not sell placements and only publish fees we have read on the provider's own page.
